It seems like everything these days has become disposable. Consumers, looking only at the bottom line of price, are willing to spend a fraction of the cost for a much more inferior product. After all, times are tough, and nobody wants to pay a pound more for anything unless they have to.
However, with certain purchases, you are actually shooting yourself in the foot by buying the cheapest no name brand products. It is much more likely that a cheap television made by a no name brand will break down than it is that a name brand television set will.
These companies are not trying to get a good reputation or repeat buyers. And most of the stores who sell these cheap TVs also do not stand behind the products, leaving you powerless when the set breaks down after less than a year.
And cheap television sets are notoriously bad about breaking down. On average, a no name brand television will only last for three to six years, and it is almost impossible to repair a no name brand set.
If your set breaks down quickly, you may think that you just got unlucky with that brand. Maybe you will try a different no name brand and have better luck. After all, you already spent a good amount of money on the first set, and so you don't have a ton of money to spend on a replacement television.
The problem is, however, that many of the no name cheap television sets are actually all made at the same factory. And there is no way for you as the consumer to know where the set was made. So the other cheap television may be made of the same low quality internal components and circuits as the first set. And the last thing you want is for the same exact problem happen all over again!
But when you buy a television produced by name brand companies such as Sony, LG, Philips, Toshiba, JVC, Samsung, Pioneer, and Panasonic, you will get a warranty on the television, as well as free support if there is a problem with your set. Since they work hard to promote their brand, these companies have excellent customer service and are eager to help you fix any problem that may arise. And, most importantly, the materials that sets manufactured by these brands are made of are always of the highest quality, so TVs made by name brands will last you decades. So, in the long run, it is a much better idea to pick the high quality name brand set instead of opting for the cheapest television set.
